I admit that I blushed – several times –  while reading this story.  In fact, I read it more than once and experienced the same effect.  If you’re looking for a colorful blend of romance mixed with spicy play, this just may be the novella for you.  Even if erotica isn’t quite your taste, there is a big possibility that the finale for these two series has enough drama, emotion, and reflective narrative to keep you enthralled.  All I can say is…I make sure the page curl is only added to releases I believe will have the reader ripping through to the next scene…Oh my…still blushing… 😉

It’s not unusual for me to get really excited when my writing is about to be published but this time feels different…I’m practically bouncing off the walls right now!  The last episode of my newest series is literally months in the making…I can’t even count the number of times I delayed offering up the draft for e-print.  I guess it’s because this new story marks the end of an era for some characters I have had tons of fun writing about and I wanted them all to receive a fitting end.

Burn: A Truth & Consequences Novella‘ isn’t officially scheduled for release until toward the end of next week; however, I’m really trying to bump that up…I am seriously impatient for this to go out for e-publishing.  If you’re new to this series or its tie-in, the Hunger series, that’s okay…I made a BIG effort to try to make sure everyone is caught up.  And even if you’re familiar with those stories, this one delves a little deeper.  You can read more about it HERE under my notes.  I really hope you’ll join me on this adventure.  Tick tock!  :p

UPDATED 8/30/11: JUST RELEASED!

BWWM in Mainstream Media

August 24, 2011

While watching TV the other day, I happened to catch a Grey Goose commercial.   It wasn’t the product that caught my attention, rather it was the featured couple that had me searching out the video for a second looksy.  When I confirmed what my eyes had previously seen, it brought a question to mind.  Is mainstream media finally starting to become comfortable with the existence and growing popularity of interracial couples (esp. BWWM)? Comfortable enough to start to feature this new type of romance as part of national campaigns for branded product names?

Since I’m a fact checker, I scrolled over to Wikipedia and found that the 2010 US Census reported atleast 168,000 BWWM marriages on record, meaning that this demographic is viable and growing.  While ads that side-step the standard view of love and relationships are probably too few and too far in between, they do exist and have a very cute appeal to them.  While searching out some to share with you, I came across this BLOG POST which features several such commercials.  I can almost guarantee the IKEA and LG  commercials will bring a smile to your face :).

HAPPY WEDNESDAY!
