How often does a second opportunity to win over our heart’s desire come long?  In real life, probably not as often as it should or as frequently as we hope for.  In Simone: Second Chances, I have granted such a wish to my leading lady and the man who has secretly loved her for quite a while.

This new tale from my wandering thoughts also gives me a chance to pursue the same. Before this story, it had been far too long since I desired to become wrapped up with love and all of its curiosities and rewards.  When my attention turned  to my second go-round with Simone, there was finally a spark to return to the sweet and spicy side of romance.  While drafting this piece, I had to learn to fall in love all over again with the wonderful possibilities and the tender affections that true love can offer.

The object of my affection?  Flowers, all kinds, but mainly roses.  Why?  Their quiet allure can stir up provocative emotions and innocent longings in one rousing and blissfully sweet scent.  My rose sketch attached to this post was perhaps one of my greatest inspirations for pushing forward to completion.  Simple and serene, this is the physical manifestation of the sincere love and sensuality I wanted to pour into Simone.  I needed to return to the lost art of falling in love and this was the symbol that kept my heart glued to that goal. So much more may lie ahead for my characters but, for now, they will get the second chance at love we all deserve to experience.

As always, thank you for your time and your support, Dear Reader.  True love and happiness to you all..always..LL ♥♥

I am so pleased to be here on this blog.  I don’t get to guest blog as much as I would like to, but I do welcome this opportunity to talk about a real short story, but one that is completely outside of what I would normally write.

The short short story (it is around 4,000 words) is called  Temporary Insanity.  Published by Shara Azod LLC it is a new addition to her Quele Scandal series.  We as authors, should try to push the envelope and sometimes challenge our readers to explore new content, maybe in a way they never thought about before.  Temporary Insanity does that.  What would you do if you if you were approached with an indecent proposal?   Would you run away from it without even asking yourself the question?  Would you think about it and still say ‘no?’  Or would you succumb to a bout of Temporary Insanity…

The narrator finds herself approached by a couple (man and a woman) and is asked an honest question.  What ensues is the question that anyone would ask themselves if put in that position.  You would have to read the book to find out the question, but I think it captures ‘real’ and ‘honest’ emotions as much as a fiction piece can.  The publisher,  the fabulous Shara Azod, stated it perfectly, think of it as Penthouse Forums for women.   Why is it that men get to have tawdry non-committed acts of passion and we as women are left out of that circle?    Does everything that we read have to have your stereotypical romance or can we as empowered women have a little fun?   Temporary Insanity is one of those books that leaves it open for you to decide: what would you do?

Nevea Lane – Temporary Insanity

What busy and historically paramount times we live in lately, Dear Reader…which is why, every now and again, I try to add a little splash of fun for myself during my writing projects.   I rarely dig down into an erotic story and try to make it into more than what it is meant to be…naughty play...but I consider Simone: First Encounter as a unique addition to my publications.  If you haven’t read the story (insert sad face here, LOL), it is strictly from my male character’s perspective.  The thought occurred to me one morning that I had never before attempted to pen from that particular point of view.   Although I cannot truly live out a romance or a sizzling rendevous from this angle, I imagined that it might be a coupling that was highly erotic with a splash of sensuality.  I say that as a lead in to this next sentence…As a writer who aspires to become an author, I understand and accept that my ideas won’t always hit the mark but will have a high chance of garnering lots of criticsm; however, as I typed out in a previous post, I would rather take a chance at trying something new and becoming an altogether different type of BWWM writer than merely trying to hit a certain number.  For me, money is nice but opting for creative freedom is a better turn in the road to follow. Anywho…for this second installment, I decided to flip the tone and go for sensual with a splash of eroticsm.  I couldn’t resist doubling back and figuring out how Simone would react after such a daring encounter…Coming Soon to an ebookstore nearest you, Dear Reader…Simone: Second Chances.  Happy Tuesday 🙂 LL
